Certifications

biomol-informatics possesses certifications that demonstrate its commitment to quality, to personal information protection and to security in management of genetic material, supported by its participation in national and international professional associations.


Protection of Personal Data:

biomol-informatics has been adapted to the Spanish Organic Law on Data Protection (LOPD 15/1999, of 13 December) and is registered in the Spanish Agency for Data Protection to ensure organizational and technical measures that guarantee security of personal data as set out in the Law.

National Registry of Biobanks:

biomol-informatics is authorized by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness through the National Institute of Heatlh Carlos III for the reception and storage of DNA samples by registration in the National Register of Biobanks according to Biomedical Research Law (14/2007, of 3 July) with the Registration Number "C.0002400".

Spanish Association of Human Genetics (AEGH):

Dr. Jan-Jacob Wesselink, Team Manager of BIOMOL-NGS and BIOMOL-EXOME at biomol-informatics belongs to the Spanish Association of Human Genetics (AEGH) since 2012. biomol-informatics actively collaborates with the association by sponsoring various activities (eg the XXVII AEGH National Congress in April 2013).

European Molecular Genetics Quality Network (EMQN):

biomol-informatics joined the European Molecular Genetics Quality Network (EMQN), a not-for-profit organisation promoting quality in genetic testing by establishing, harmonising and disseminating best practice.
